#SocialMedia instrumental in helping to force #Mubarak to step down: Power of protest & #SocialMedia

Palestine, (Pal Telegraph) - Upon mega protests lasted for more than a week, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak leaves Power. The President steps down tonight  after more than 300 protesters killed in 7-day-protests.
Mubarak is due to announce his decision shortly on the Official Egyptian TV.
Journalistic sources told the Palestine Telegraph Newspaper that the decision was  taken two days ago but will be announced today. The US administration made it clear to Mubarak that they are no longer supporting his regime, the sources revealed.
Today, around a million gathered to rally in Cairo's Tahrir Square in parallel to  countrywide protests held against President Hosni Mubarak.
Mubarak has been into power for more than 30 years now. His era included massive human rights violation and silencing those seeking freedom of expression. Emergency law has been imposed preventing political parties from practicing their activities.
